How can we help?
Find answers to common questions about courses, accounts, payments, and more.
Getting Started
DNA is Africa's premier digital skills and talent ecosystem, purpose-built for the vertical video streaming industry. We offer structured learning paths, instructor-led courses, and a talent marketplace that connects creators, producers, and professionals with opportunities across the continent.
Head to app.digitalnativeafrica.com and click 'Get Started'. You can sign up with your email address or connect via Google. Once verified, you'll have immediate access to free preview content and can enrol in any available course.
While DNA is designed with Africa at its core, anyone globally can access the platform. Our content reflects African perspectives, storytelling, and industry needs — making it relevant for anyone interested in the African creator economy.
DNA is fully web-responsive and works on desktops, tablets, and smartphones. Mobile apps for iOS and Android are on our roadmap. For the best learning experience, we recommend a device with a stable internet connection.
Courses & Learning
Each DNA course is divided into modules, which contain individual lessons (video, reading, or interactive). Courses include knowledge-check quizzes and a final assessment. Complete all requirements above the pass threshold to earn your certificate.
Absolutely. All courses are self-paced. Once enrolled, you have permanent access to the course content and can revisit lessons as many times as you like.
Learning Paths are curated sequences of courses designed to take you from beginner to proficient in a specific discipline — such as Short-form Production, Brand Storytelling, or Streaming Operations. Completing a path earns a specialisation badge.
Our primary language is English, but we are actively working to add French, Swahili, Hausa, and Pidgin subtitles and translations. Community-contributed translations are also part of our roadmap.
Billing & Payments
We accept major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard), as well as mobile money options relevant to your region, including M-Pesa and Flutterwave-supported methods. More local payment options are being added.
Yes. DNA offers a selection of permanently free courses and preview access to all paid courses so you can make an informed decision before purchasing.
If you are unsatisfied with a course, you may request a full refund within 14 days of purchase, provided you have completed less than 20% of the course content. Contact our support team to initiate a refund.
Yes. We offer institutional and team licences for companies, media houses, and educational institutions. Reach out to us at partnerships@digitalnativeafrica.com to discuss a bespoke plan.
Certificates & Progress
Complete all lessons and modules in a course, then pass the final assessment with a score of 70% or above. Your verified certificate is automatically generated and added to your profile, and can be shared to LinkedIn or downloaded as a PDF.
DNA certificates signal demonstrated competency in creator and digital media skills. We work with media companies and streaming platforms across Africa to recognise our credentials. Our Talent Hub will also enable verified skill discovery by employers.
Yes. You can retake any assessment up to three times within a 30-day window. After three attempts, a 30-day cooldown applies. We encourage you to review the related lessons before reattempting.
Account & Security
Click 'Forgot Password' on the sign-in page and enter your registered email. You will receive a secure reset link within a few minutes. If you do not receive the email, please check your spam folder.
You can request account deletion from your Account Settings page under 'Privacy & Data'. Account deletion is permanent and will remove all your progress, certificates, and profile data. We recommend downloading your data before proceeding.
DNA uses industry-standard encryption and security protocols to protect your data. We do not sell personal information to third parties. Please see our Privacy Policy for full details on how your data is collected and used.
